  24. I seem to remember an article about the 1200 when it was released
  25. suggesting that it should be possible, BUT try a 68881 cos' the '882 was
  26. designed to work with the '030 and the '881 with the '020. Also, there
  27. is nowhere to fit the extra clock crystal (needed to make the FPU run at
  28. a different speed from the CPU), so the '881 would have to run at 14MHz,
  29. although I think a 16MHz '881 would do (as the '020 in a 1200 is a 16Mhz
  30. chip that is slowed to 14MHz because of the video bus or something....)

  32. I think the empty space was there 'cos C= intended to sell some 1200's
  33. with a 68881 fitted, but never got round to it.....
